How do I apply for a scholarship or financial aid award?
All applications must be submitted by each program’s deadline. All required documents must be received by the stated date. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
What is the difference between scholarship programs and financial aid programs?
Scholarships are based totally or partially on the student’s academic and/or personal merit while financial aid awards begin with the student’s financial need to attend college. Many awards are based on a combination of criteria.
Who is eligible to apply?
Each program outlines the qualifications and criteria necessary to apply for that award.
Can I apply on-line?
At this time, we do not have an on-line application process.
How are recipients selected?
Each student aid program has a committee of people who review the applications and make recommendations to the Foundation on the selection of recipients. Each program has a different committee with different people participating in the selection.
How many awards will be made and what is the value of each award?
Each program has a different amount of available resources and the description of the program will give some indication as to the number of awards expected to be made each year.
If I receive an award, will it be renewable?
Some programs are for one-time only awards, some are renewable and some are renewable by application. Instructions for renewing an award, if appropriate, are sent with the initial award notification.
If I receive an award, when will I be notified?
Those programs that deadline in March or April are normally completed by May 31st each year. Programs that deadline in June or July will be completed by the end of July. Recipients are notified by mail.
If I am a recipient, how will I receive my award?
ALL student aid awards are sent directly to the educational institution upon the receipt by the Foundation of all required enrollment documents.
