SCHOLARSHIPS FOR SPECIFIC HIGH SCHOOLS -

Bryan Cline Memorial Soccer Scholarship Program -

Eldorado High School (EHS) only
Bryan Cline played fullback on the Eldorado High School soccer team. After his death in 1986, friends and family established this fund to recognize graduating senior varsity soccer players. Recipients must exhibit a strong scholastic record and leadership qualities. Two one-time $1,200 awards are given annually to EHS varsity soccer team graduating seniors (one girl & one boy)

Additional criteria:
· attend a college or university full time
Additional Information to include with your application:
· name of your varsity soccer team coach
· 2 letters of reference – one from a teacher or counselor and one from a soccer coach

Applications must be returned to Eldorado High School Principal’s Office.
  

Barnes W. Rose, Jr. and Eva Rose Nichol Scholarship Fund -

Albuquerque High School (AHS) only
This fund was established in 2003 by the family in memory of Barnes and in honor of his sister Eva. One $1,200 scholarship is awarded annually to a graduate of Albuquerque High School in pursuit of a college degree in engineering. Applicants should demonstate math and/or science interest and skill through SAT/ACF socres and/or strong grades in appropriate high school classes.

Additional criteria:
· minimum GPA 3.6
· demonstrate financial need
· attend a college or university in pursuit of an engineering degree
Additional required attachments:
· minimum of one reference from an Albuquerque High School
  math/science teacher
· up to two additional references programs may be submitted.


Robby Baker Memorial Scholarship - click for application
La Cueva High School (LCHS)only
The Robby Baker Scholarship Fund was established by Robby’s family in 2003. Robby loved to ski and found that skiing helped his self-confidence as he dealt with the challenges of dyslexia. Annually, a $750 scholarship will be awarded to a LCHS graduating senior who has a language learning or other reading disability.

Additional criteria:
· applicants must be coping with dyslexia or other reading disability
· minimum GPA 2.5
· attend a community college, college, university or technical school part or full time
Additional required attachments:
· up to two references from teachers and/or counselors.


All applicants to Albuquerque Community Foundation Scholarship Programs must be:

  • New Mexico residents for a minimum of one year.

  • Attending a U.S. post-secondary, accredited, not-for-profit educational institution.

  • Some programs are only eligible for students attending New Mexico colleges/universities and some programs are available only to Albuquerque residents.

  • Reference Form included with application is optional. References are welcome to write a personal letter instead of using the form.

APPLICATIONS MUST BE TYPED OR PRINTED.

ACF scholarship and financial aid awards are available ONLY to New Mexico residents and to those meeting specific criteria. Application deadlines vary between March and July. Awards begin with the fall semester.
