Foundation Wins National Award
11/04/2011The Albuquerque Community Foundation has been named a bronze award winner for excellence in communications by the 2011 Wilmer Shields Rich Awards Program.
Sponsored by the Council on Foundations, the awards program recognizes effective communications efforts to increase public awareness of foundations and corporate giving programs. Albuquerque Community Foundation received the award for its newsletters. The award was presented during the Council on Foundations’ Annual Conference, April 10 – 12, 2011 at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown.
“We work to ensure that our newsletters always communicate the great work of the Foundation through impactful stories and good photographs mixed with lots of color” states Kelli Cooper, Communications Director. Entries to the award program included annual and biennial reports , electronic publications, newsletters, special reports, public policy campaigns and websites.
This year, 150 entries were submitted for the awards program.
