03/11/2009Navigating a Shifting Landscape-How Grantmakers are meeting the challenges presented by the recent economic downturn.
The New Mexico Association of Grantmakers hosts it's 2009 conference in Santa Fe, November 4-6.
Sessions include presentations by Robin Brule of the Office of Philanthropic Outreach, (a partnership between the Kellogg Foundation, the Albuquerque Community Foundation and the Lieutenant Governor's office). This office is working to identify innovative funding partnerships with state and local government, regional nonprofits and national foundations.
Public/Private Partnerships in Action: the New Mexico Collaboration to End Hunger will be presented by Diane Ogawa, PNM & PNM Resources, Nancy Pope, NM Collaboration to End Hunger and Alicia Edwards, the Volunteer Center of Grant County. A successful partnership between PNM Resources Foundation, the McCune Charitable Foundation and the Albuquerque Community Foundation. Since 2007, the Collaboration has grown to 60 public and private organizations and raised over $1.9 million in funding to accomplish the goals of the Plan.
