"Prism/Solar Spectrum" by Charles Ross
For the Albuquerque Convention Center

A site-specific interactive artwork made with an array of nine large scale triangular prisms. Each prism measures 14" on a side and about 100"' in length and weighs about 350 pounds. Prisms are specifically aligned with the sun for a particular time of day and seasons and evolve throughout the day with the passage of the sun.
This public art piece is made possible by a $150,000 grant from The FUNd at Albuquerque Community Foundation.
