Albuquerque Mental Health Housing Coalition
Furniture purchase for 18-unit apartment complex that provides housing for the homeless with disabling mental illness, $5,000

Albuquerque Speech, Language & Hearing Center
To provide speech rehabilitation for people with Multiple Sclerosis; in collaboration with the MS Society, $5,000

Amigos de Las Americas
Youth volunteer program to provide bi-lingual health education at the Los Griegos Community Center for mothers with infants & children, $3,400

Catholic Charities of Central New Mexico
Computer & job skills training for limited English proficient students in the South Valley & Southeast Heights, $20,000

Cloud Dancers of the Southwest, Inc.
Horseback riding program for people with disabilities that offers physical & cognitive therapeutic benefits, $3,500

Community Health Partnerships
'Talleres de la Comunidad, para la Communidad' health project for immigrant women & children in Southeast Heights community centers, $5,000

Dismas House
To establish transitional housing residence for female ex-criminal offenders to provide family-oriented approach of housing & education, $15,000

Support for 'Nearly New' boutique providing clothing for women & families in transition from welfare/home/school to work, $2,000

Homeless Advocacy Coalition
Funding for a broad-based strategic plan to assess homelessness & poverty needs, resources & services providing a guide for future work, $5,000

Human Rights Advocacy, Inc.
'The Crossroads' project of life skills education for street prostitutes who want to leave prostitution, $5,000

Meals on Wheels
Home-delivered, special medical diet meals allowing seniors to maintain their independence & preventing premature nursing home care or hospitalization, $15,000

New Mexico Commission for the Blind
Sewing equipment for Employment Development Center to train & employ blind workers for competitive employment, $5,000

New Mexico Lions Sight Conservation Foundation, Inc.
To implement the New Mexico Lions Eye Bank Hospital Education Program for nurses to learn how to maximize sight-restoring transplantation following donation consent, $3,000

Samaritan Counseling Center
To educate clergy & other religious representatives about adjustment issues for children of divorce, $2,000

Workshops for women with infants & children to learn about medical self-care and effective ways of navigating the health care system, $4,000

Women's Community Association
To purchase furniture & make building improvements for the Children's Program at the domestic violence shelter, $4,500

Youth Mental Health Mentoring Initiative
Innovative intervention & mentoring program for high school students learning how to lead productive lives with the challenges of their illness, $2,000

Conservation project of historic building at Casa San Ysidro, an 18th/19th-century ranchero in Corrales, $3,400

The Archaeological Conservancy
Acquisition & preservation project of the Howiri Pueblo, $3,000

Cornerstones Community Partnership
Production of adobe preservation training video for use in community-based restoration efforts, $5,000

Friends of the Rio Grande Nature Center
'Bosque Buddies' school outreach program for Valle Vista & Atrisco elementary school students to experience the ecology of the Rio Grande, $5,000

KNME-TV
To produce 'Albuquerque's Historic Neighborhoods' documentary, $5,000

New Mexico Museum of Natural History Foundation
'Water Education Project' including environmental education outreach to fifth grade students, $4,500

Tree New Mexico
Neighborhood tree planting project in underserved communities contributing to revitalization efforts, $2,250

Bosque School
'Bosque Ecosystem Monitoring Program' to conserve the Bosque with students from 10 public schools participating in field research; in collaboration with UNM Department of Biology, $2,250

Presentations of a Spanish dominant play, 'La Tortuga Tranquila Tragaleguas,' for APS elementary & middle schools, $5,000

Health Care for the Homeless
Art therapy costs & stipends for homeless or formerly homeless artist mentors in the ArtStreet initiative for children, $5,000

Weekly dance workshops for Eugene Field Elementary School students; in collaboration with South Broadway Cultural Center, $2,200

National Dance Institute of New Mexico
Yearlong dance program at East San Jose Elementary School to engage & motivate children, $5,000

'Roots of Jazz' education program for APS elementary students to learn the musical & cultural roots of jazz, $3,500

New Mexico Symphony Orchestra
'Ambassadors of Music' middle school program pairing Symphony musicians with an 'adopted' school band or orchestra, $4,800

'Let's Create an Opera' summer program for elementary-aged children to create, write & produce their own opera, $3,700

African dance & drumming classes for children at Thomas Bell Community Center including theory, participation & performance, $3,000

'Connecting Elders & Children Through Art' performances for intergenerational audiences in public senior meal sites, $3,700

Production costs for the innovative music education program, 'Boombox Classroom' aired on public radio for learning in the classroom, $4,500

Theatrical lighting system for theater used by local directors & actors, $3,500

To facilitate access of mental health resources for juveniles in the Bernalillo County Juvenile Justice System, $5,000

New Mexico Holocaust & Intolerance Museum & Study Center
Purchase of resource materials for museum & outreach programs on the consequences of hate & intolerance, $2,800

Oasis, Inc.
Production of recruiting & training materials for the Intergenerational Tutoring Program that pairs older adult literacy volunteers with students in public elementary schools, $4,000

Sandia Preparatory School
'Zapatos' community service project for needy children at Mission Elementary School, $2,000

Santa Fe Children's Museum
Museum on Wheels interactive art activities for patients at Children's Hospital of New Mexico, $4,500

Valencia County Literacy Council
'One-to-One' adult literacy program for English as a Second Language classes with volunteer tutors, $4,000

Exhibition of Latin American Political Posters reflecting years of civil war & violations of human rights, $3,400

UNM School of Architecture & Planning
University faculty to develop curriculum model with youth from the South Valley focused on localized agricultural production & the ecology of the land, $5,000

Values Through Music
Pilot project to produce anti-violence video for APS elementary school students using music to reach children with alternative behaviors, $2,500
