All nonprofits receiving grants through the Competitive Grant Program must provide one report at the end of the grant period and not more than 14 months after the start of the grant date. Any funds not expended for the specific purpose of the grant must be returned to the Foundation and cannot be diverted to other uses without the express approval of the Foundation.
The purpose of grant reporting is:
- to help the Foundation better understand the organizations and programs we fund
- to give nonprofits an opportunity to share and reflect upon the progress of their programs
- to comply with IRS regulations for grantmaking foundations
The Foundation requires one final report at the end of the grant period.
The link below is for grants issued before 2016. If you received a grant in the 2016 Competitive Grant Program, please note reporting will be in a different format and will be made available in early 2017. All donor-advised grant reports can still use the reporting form below.

Publicity Guidelines for Communicating Your Grant
The Foundation is able to award grants because generous people have established endowment funds with us. We encourage our grantees to publicize their grants to recognize the Albuquerque Community Foundation and the donor (when applicable) whose fund helped to make the grant possible.
Publicity also helps you spread the word about your organization’s role in the community. Identifying the Albuquerque Community Foundation as a source of support may lend even more credibility to your efforts.
The following guidelines are intended to assist you in communicating your grant from the Albuquerque Community Foundation. (Please forward this information to the person in your organization responsible for publications and publicity.)
1. Include news of your grant in any publications you produce for distribution.
This includes press releases, newsletters, brochures, annual reports, board minutes, etc. All publicity mentioning support from the Foundation should refer to the specific fund named in your grant letter. For example, “A grant was received from the Jane Doe Memorial Fund of the Albuquerque Community Foundation.”
2. Albuquerque Community Foundation logo.
Please use our logo and/or name in all publicity. Various versions of the logo are available above. If you need additional information on how the logo can be used, please contact the Foundation at (505)883-6240 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
2. Digital Photos.
We do everything we can to promote our grant recipients. Our website, annual report and newsletters always include photos from grant recipients. We ask you to email photos, along with a description of what the photo is portraying, to email@example.com.
3. Put the Albuquerque Community Foundation on your PR mailing list.
We appreciate receiving copies of news releases and newsletter articles mentioning the Albuquerque Community Foundation as well as any newspaper articles mentioning you have received funding from us. Please send copies to:
