Donor Stories
Robby Baker
The Robby Baker Scholarship Fund was established in honor of our son, who died tragically in a skiing accident.
Robby was a wonderful boy with radiant red hair and a quick smile. He loved skiing and it gave him confidence in other areas of his life. By his nature and good humor he gave freely to those around him. We miss him every day.
Because Rob had dyslexia, he had to work twice as hard as most other kids to keep up with his studies. We wanted to establish a fund in his name for other students who, although they may or may not have a learning disability, could benefit from some help with their college education.
By creating this fund, we felt that we could honor our son not only in a monetary way, but also by acknowledging the challenges that Rob and many other students face in their academic careers.
