Now and Forever Fund - Cinco Amigos Fund
Five gentlemen who share an interest in automobiles pooled their money to establish the Cinco Amigos Now and Forever Fund.
In September of each year, the group holds their annual fundraiser called Concours du Soleil. The proceeds from the event are divided in half. One half is invested in their fund which will continue to grow and award grants each year. The other half is granted out immediately to benefit the community today.
Because it is a donor-advised fund, the five ‘amigos’ choose the nonprofit organization to which they wish their dollars to go.
2008 Grants All Faiths Receiving Home to support La Solana del Valle Day Care by providing funding for tuition subsidies or scholarships for up to 70 children a week, ages 6 weeks-5 yrs.
ARCA to support an increase in capacity at the Arca Organics enterprise, generating revenue and maintaining employment for young adults with developmental disabilities.
Cinco Amigos Fund to benefit the community through annual grants to selected nonprofits. (This is the fund established by the creators of Concours du Soleil. As the fund grows, an increasing amount of dollars will be granted each year, adding to the impact of Concours.)
Future Fund established by young donors who pool their money for greater impact. Members of this group help to implement Concours and make grants annually from their growing fund.
Global Opportunities to support the Beginners’ Fishing Program, enabling 80 disabled children to experience a day of fishing.
UNM Foundation to support scholarships.
