Step 4: Requirements and Guidelines
Nonprofit organizations are invited to submit funding requests once each calendar year. Those organizations which received funding in 2009 must be current with any and all grant reporting requirements to be considered in 2010.
Please return to Step 3: Nonprofit Information Form to complete and submit the online form before beginning the application process.
Please note the following:
- Grants are normally made for a one-year period.
- The Foundation will not consider more than one proposal to the Competitive Grant Program from an organization within a 12 month period.
- Grant requests must be a minimum of $1,000 and a maximum of $10,000.
- The average grant in 2009 was $7,000.
A nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization may serve as fiscal agent for a community group. The fiscal agent should read Step 4a: Requirements for Fiscal Agents and then contact the Foundation for any additional instructions before an application is submitted. The fiscal agent must clearly demonstrate their relationship to the sponsored group.

This re-writeable PDF cover sheet should be used for the cover letter on your proposal. A second letter is not necessary.
