Larger than Life Photos
Kyle Zimmerman, a local photographer contacted the Foundation in early 2008 with the idea of finding one nonprofit to which she could donate photography as a way of giving back to the community for their support over the years.
Through discussions, she learned how the work of the Foundation leverages donor funds to make an even bigger impact. After reviewing the long list of programs funded through the Foundation, Zimmerman chose 11 nonprofits and added the Foundation to total 12.
“I donated 150 hours of time and labor photographing the clients and projects of 12 local nonprofit organizations with the goal of telling their stories through pictures.¨ I call the project Larger Than Life.”

The project ultimately included a series of copyright free images for each group on disc and a coffee table book of each organization’s images for them to use in their marketing and donor appreciation efforts. Large format images from the project are on permanent exhibit at the Foundation office.
