Cancer Services of New Mexico
Services to reduce cancer suffering for families in New Mexico.
The Family Cancer Retreat is a free, three-day educational program held twice a year to provide New Mexico’s adult cancer patients/survivors and their loved ones with tools and information they need to manage the treatment and survival process. Over 500 people from more than 200 New Mexican families coping with cancer attend each year, making this the largest general cancer education program in our state and the largest program of its type in the U.S. Each program features 35-40 speakers, panelists and session leaders, including 12-15 of New Mexico’s leading oncologists. The entire program, including meals, lodging, and all educational programs, is provided at no cost to participants.
