Friends of the Rio Grande Nature Center
A grant to the Friends of the Rio Grande Nature Center has allowed children to participate in outdoor activities with an emphasis in fitness and the great outdoors.
A grant to the Friends of the Rio Grande Nature Center provided funding for 240 children to partake in the La Solana Preschool Outdoor Education project. After a short walk from All Faiths Receiving Homes’ La Solana to the Nature Center, students participated in hands-on, interactive outdoor education combined with outdoor exercise and physical fitness. Children learned to appreciate the outdoors and wildlife while developing school readiness in a safe and nurturing environment.
