Highlights



  • Assets year-end 2010: $53.8 Million
  • Awarded $2,610,000 in 2010 through 550 grants ranging from $25 to $324,000 to nonprofit organizations that impact the quality of life in the greater Albuquerque area.
  • Granted, $148,000 in scholarships and financial aid through 12 student aid funds.
  • Recieved $5.1 million in new gifts.
  • Convened public leaders and organizations to support activities designed to tackle some of our state's most complex problems.  Through these collaborations, we realize maximum impact, leveraging ideas and dollars to more fully and effectively serve the people and natural resources of our state.   
  • Organized our 3rd annual Concours du Soleil raising over $100,000 for local charities. 


    Partnerships

  • Continued to co-sponsor the Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNPE) with the United Way of Central New Mexico.

  • Collaborated with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Center for Creative Leadership to implement an18 month national fellowship program geared at training the next generation of community health leaders.  30 fellows graduated in December.

  • Community Foundation Coalition of New Mexico to grow awareness of Community Foundations across the state.

  • Served as the fiscal agent for the Center for Philanthropic Partnerships working with existing systems to engage the community and its overlapping issues.

  • Advanced our leadership role in the community by continuing to make a substantial financial and time commitment to the New Mexico Collaboration to End Hunger.  The collaboration achieved its overarching goal moving Mexico from 50th to 45th in the nation in food insecurity.  Shortly after this goal was announced, the collaboration received the news that their efforts had advanced New Mexico to 39th.

  • Partnered with 86 nonprofits to manage their endowments through Philanthropy Central, our Nonprofit Organization Endowment Fund program.
